Dr. Klaus Landry appointed coordinator for legal issues
Hamburg/Kiel, October 21, 2010 - Dr. Klaus Landry is to become HSH Nordbank’s external coordinator for legal issues. In this function he will manage and coordinate all of HSH Nordbank’s major issues of a contentious legal nature that do not concern the Bank’s day-to-day business.

“My task is to ensure that all cases are completely dealt with in a systematically, transparently and independently coordinated manner. To this end, I have been given far-reaching authority and the greatest possible degree of autonomy by the Management Board without which such a task could not be managed”, said Dr. Klaus Landry.
With the appointment of Dr. Landry HSH Nordbank is stressing that clearing up such issues in an unbiased and independent manner is in its own inherent interest. “Through his personality and impressive record Dr. Landry is ideally suited for this task, which is of major importance to the Bank. He will make a major contribution towards ensuring that all cases are comprehensively dealt with”, said CEO Dirk Jens Nonnenmacher.
Dr. Landry has more than 40 years' experience as an attorney and tax lawyer. He is a partner in the Hamburg-based law firm of Graf von Westphalen. From 1990 to 1999 he was President of the Hanseatic Bar Association and he was a member of the Founding Commission of the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. Moreover he is an honorary member of the Board of Trustees at the Max-Planck-Institute for comparative and international Private Law.
