Alexander Zverev and many other international and national top stars will serve at the clay-court classic, which will take place from July 22 to 30. In addition to sponsoring the tournament, HCOB will also support a donation campaign to benefit children and young people in the Hamburg region.

"Aces for a good cause!" is the motto of the campaign that HCOB is supporting as part of the 117th edition of the tournament. For every ace hit during the Hamburg European Open, the bank will donate 117 euros to "Hamburger Abendblatt hilft e. V." to enable children and young people from low-income families to enjoy sport and exercise. In 2022, more than 300 aces were counted in the combined women's and men's tournament, so a five-figure sum should be raised again this year. HCOB's branding will be seen, for instance, on the "Speedometer", the speed measuring device for the pros' serves.

"We are looking forward to an exciting sporting event at our home venue that has once again been very well prepared by the tournament organizers. And we hope to see many aces so that a high sum can be donated to support families in the region," said Ian Banwell, CEO of Hamburg Commercial Bank. "Our thanks go to the team at the 'Hamburger Abendblatt hilft' association, which uses the donations to support where the need is most urgent."

"Every child should have access to sports as a matter of course, and we are delighted that Hamburg Commercial Bank is participating so generously in this campaign. It demonstrates social responsibility for our city of Hamburg," said Tournament Director Sandra Reichel.

Tickets for the Hamburg European Open, where former top ten player Andrea Petkovic is once again tournament ambassador, are available via the ticket hotline +491806-991175 and online at www.hamburg-open.com.
