Alexander Erdland new member of HSH Nordbank Supervisory Board

Hamburg/Kiel, August 4, 2011 - Dr. Alexander Erdland has been a member of the Supervisory Board of HSH Nordbank since 1 August 2011. He takes over the position of Dr. Hans Reckers, who has been Managing Director of the Association of German Public Sector Banks (Bundesverband Öffentlicher Banken Deutschlands) since 1 August.

Since 2006 Erdland has been Chairman of the Management Board of Wüstenroth & Württembergische AG, where he made a sustainable contribution to the company’s realignment as a pension specialist. Prior to this, since 1999 he had been Chairman of the Management Board at the Schwäbisch Hall building society. There he was responsible in particular for collaboration among German building societies, connections to the political sector and building up foreign business with Eastern Europe/China.

In the years before that, since1984 Erdland had been a member of the Management Board of Volksbank eG in Elmshorn, the Genossenschaftliche Zentralbank (cooperative central bank) in Saarbrücken, the Genossenschaftliche Zentralbank in Hanover and DG BANK in Frankfurt am Main.
