HSH Nordbank finances real estate portfolio for Deutsche Wohnen AG

Hamburg/Kiel, January 16, 2013 - HSH Nordbank is financing a real estate portfolio covering several German regions for Deutsche Wohnen AG. The size of the finance deal is a good € 161 million.

The portfolio includes around 5,100 residential units on more than 311,000 square metres. Accounting for a good 40 percent of the floor space, the regional focus lies in Braunschweig, while further properties are located in the regions of Berlin, Leipzig/Halle and Dresden. It is intended to hold this solid real estate portfolio over the long term.

Deutsche Wohnen AG is one of the leading listed housing companies in Germany. Its business operations focus on the management and development of its own real estate portfolio, which currently numbers some 73,200 residential units.
